Triple Intent – 3 artists, 3 mediums, 3 interpretations (with Monica Bennett, felt artist and Nancy Silo, ceramic artist)

August 5 – 7, 2016:  Sea Star Vineyards, Pender Island, BC

This show included a centrepiece featuring an interplay across the different mediums – felt, ceramics and photography. We collectively selected one piece by each of us. Then we each went off on our own to create work in response to the other two. The result was the three groupings shown above (left to right): Monica’s felt sculpture with responses in photography and ceramics; my photo art (“Tear”: Sold) with responses in felt and ceramics (both pieces also now sold); Nancy’s ceramic art with responses in felt and photography.

Perspectives: An Art Show – 3 perspectives inspired by natural Pender Island in felt, paintings and photgraphic art (with Monica Bennett, felt artist and Crystal Desharnais, painter)

May 29 – 31, 2015:  Sea Star Vineyards, Pender Island, BC

This show included a centrepiece featuring an interplay across the different mediums – felt, painting and photography. We collectively selected one piece by each of us. Then we went off on our own, each to create work in response to the other two. We displayed the results in the centre of the exhibit space. Above is one of the 3 groupings: Monica’s felt bowl (Sold) with responses by Crystal (top painting) and me (centre photo art).
