At the Door

A fleeting image during a mystery my husband and I were watching on TV one night intrigued me. Our perspective was from inside a character’s house, when a man approached their glass-paned front door. It was pouring down rain, and rivulets of water on the glass distorted the figure reaching for the handle. I wondered if I could render that distortion in paint; the result was At the Door.
