Oil and cold wax on cradled wood panel (deep), 30" x 24", unframed
I worked on Precarious #1 while waiting for the results of a biopsy on a lump in my breast. Also top of mind throughout this time, however, were the pandemic and the climate crisis, and I realized everything, both within and around me, was feeling precarious. My hope is that my work speaks not only to my personal circumstances, but also to the larger issues confronting us all.
