Between working on paintings, I like to doodle, see if an impromptu design speaks to me. At first, I wasn't sure why this one appealed, I just knew I had to make it a painting. As I worked, I found myself thinking about communications. Something about the lines and shapes reminded me of antennae, wires and lattice tower crossbeams. Then satellites came to mind, which led me to space junk, which in turn took me to junk information - the rampant scams and misdirections, the outright lies swirling around us these days. Throwing us Off Kilter.
