Oil and Cold Wax on Deep Canvas, 30" x 30"
After doodling on Procreate one evening, I wound up with an array of delicate lines criss-crossing at intriguing angles. I decided to use the pattern to design a painting. As I worked on Tenuous, I thought about my attraction to geometric shapes, how for me they represent a paradox – at once stability and fragility in the built and natural worlds; how easily what we believe will last can fall apart.
